I fitted the Wunderlich clever lever today and to be honest it is not a lot, if any longer, than the standard lever and hardly any higher. In fact if you have it any lower than the maximum height it fouls the side stand and sticks down. The small nylock nut that locks one of the length adjusters is the culprit. I took the opportunity to play with the splined fitting on the shaft into the actual box. However this us a non starter as the adjustment is too coarse and makes the lever lock up. There is a line on the end of the shaft that has to be used for alignment. Unfortunately it is blowing a gale and torrential rain so I cannot test it out. Just as with the standard set up there is a large amount of slack in the lever to shaft set up And I wonder if this is at the root of the gear change problems. So far over £200 spent on pegz and gear change and I still think it will be a pain. It is almost as if the base design of the gear lever has it in the 'wrong' place for the average boot.
