Are you talking about unlockiing a mobile broadband dongle?

I managed to unlock a Vodafone dongle for my wifey a while back. I think I used http://www.dc-unlocker.com/buy/dongle_price for the unlock and free pograme Mobile Partner to connect.

Works great where there is no Vodafone signal as she can use Mobile Partner to show other operators in the area and select sim accordingly.

There is a usefull forum on dc unlockers site that will give yu aswers specific to your setup.
