Don't buy an intercom system yet!

Ned, the point is whilst they didn't give dates (contradiction from first post? No, they hinted that they could meet my mates requests) they kept stringing my mate along. They'd had his money, they kept saying.....I don't see a problem with that when told he could do with the unit by a certain date.
All he wanted was an...'it aint happening, it'll be with you 2 days after that at the earliest...or some other such truthful utterance.

My annoyance comes from having to cobble something together at the 11th hour, all because they wouldn't admit they were not in a position to supply as soon as they led customers to believe. No one's walking away from them or this new unit, all we ask is for them not to f**k people about then leave them in limbo!!!!

Too much? I don't think so!!!

Ooops, rant mode switched off again!!!!

Anyone had anything from these F***wits yet?????

Who started this thread.......... you got anything to say?????

So dissappointing.......expectations high, reality..... well ........S**te

I've heard nothing from them yet either. Their website says they've processed 50% of the orders. The last I heard from them was their acknowledgement of my paypal payment and they said I'll receive an official confirmation email within "the next few days". I'm going to give it until the end of next week as their website says then I'll start worrying....

Had a mail yesterday it said they have posted 380 last week, working on remainder of the order(500) this week. Mine must be in the 2nd order.

Well I ordered mine on 6th June late afternoon. That's 1 day after the mail announcing the release came in. Not sure what position I am in the waiting list but I sure hope I'm one of the first 500 as I already boxed my old EVO-1. Just waiting for the green light to send it over.

It's weird I haven't received the mail saying 380 were posted. The only updates I get are what I read on the website :D

My mate has received his unit minus the programming software.......

He's yet to fully set it up so will wait and see ..............

Software is available to download from there website, I'm in the opposite position to your mate, I've got the software but no unit :(, called them yesterday and there saying the last of the first 500 will be posted Friday.:)

My comment about 380 sent was as a result of an enquiry email, as like you had heard nothing. My understanding was that all 500 would be finished posting today.

Mine's somewhere in the post. I'm overseas though so it should be here early next week.

Anyone received theirs and got it installed? I'm interested to hear how it compares with the older Evo1, which I found too quiet.

Maybe I should just go for the Integra headset with my Evo1, as overall volume is my only issue? The newer Evo2 employs the original/same 8 ohm helmet speakers, and although Intaride claim the unit is "much, much louder," surely more input to the same speakers would result in distortion, unless one then turns down the output of the SatNav/Music/B2B/Phone, which gets you back to where you were before?! I wear -34db SNR earplugs, so the unit needs to get past these!

Do let us know your findings.
Thanks.

interesting

alright so I have received my Intaride EVO 2's and wanted to know if anyone is having half the troubles i Am???

I bought two complete systems for bike to bike communication and have plugged them in, the only way that i can get the EVO2 to power up is to plug it into my laptop first, program it then switch it to the bike right away?? is there something im missing here? everytime i want to use it i have to program it??? WTF MATE!! i sent intaride an email and am still waiting for the responce...

in the meantime i began playing with the IR803 radios i purchased.. they work marvelously and I am very impressed with their range.. however the geek in me came out and i started tweaking with the settings and managed to erase all the programmed frequencies in one of the radios!!! ( i take complete resonsibility for this) With the radios i am impressed.. its a much nicer radio than any of the other companies and communication across them from what i can tell is very impressive.. i just would like to know why i can power up the evo2 without my laptop...

hence how i came across this site it was mentioning purchasing radios etc and ive ordered the program cable from wouxon...

all in all Im very unimpressed with intaride right now. Their customer service is awesome and I know ill hear back shortly, however i dont understand how two EVO2 units can have the same issues.. maybe its something im doing.. but i doubt it.. ive read the directions cover to cover several times since receiving the radios, and ive spent hours on their site, and lets face it... installation isnt exactly a rocket science here... fused link positive good ground, a couple of 3.5mm plugs... connect radio... connect headset... voila should work... doesnt ive done everything i can think of to both intercom units... intaride may just be seeing their units again if i cant get this worked out... I waited long enough for them to be ready i just hope its something simple that im doing wrong.

could you not phone them to ask advice... emailing is not very interactive if you haven't supplied all the info the guy might need to answer your question

It sounds strange for both units to suffer the same problem, I had mine and it's now gone back for a bluetooth chip, originally I didn't bother as the Zumo settings were a problem, now with new Zumo software thats sorted. The only problems I had was the drivers for the cable wouldn't install properly but eventually sorted that. Good luck and I hope it's something simple.

yea

I would call but I live in the states.

And I agree its weird for both units to do the same thing. Which is why I'm waiting on a response before laying blame I don't know what I could have done wrong with the install!

for the length of time they've been at this it seems like they've made a bit of a pigs ear of things

you obviously haven't got a Zumo 660 then, if you want to see a major company f**k something up then check one out with the original firmware, don't think Intaride are doing too bad considering, plus there customer service is spot on, you can't say that for some of the other auto communciations manufacturers. :thumb2

funny i was having fun trying to get a mates 660 to connect to his old XP PC... not funny i had to end up taking it home and doing the upgrades on my own PC

That said the unit itself seemed to work fine... battery didn't seem to last too long compared to a Zumo 550

The problems with the 660 are endless from bluetooth problems to blank screens on navigation to lack of detail, I was riding out of Stratford Upon Avon a week ago and the A46 wouldn't show up for ages, looked like I was riding in thin air, I know the 1200's are alot lighter than the old 1150's but there not that light ;)
