Chaps,

I have a Zumo 550 and have previously downloaded music in MP3 format to an SD Card and played it without problem via my Zumo.

I recently bought a 16GB SDHC card to accommodate more music files (previous one was 2GB). I have downloaded music to it via my computer in MP3 format but when I put the card into the Zumo it does not seem to read it, when I go to the music icon it reads '0' zero.

Any ideas???

Hi Diver Dan,

according to the German Naviboard these SD cards work fine with your Zumo:

4 GB
SDHC-Karte Transcend
Toshiba cards
sandisc SDHC Ultra II

8 GB
SanDisk SDHC Class2
SDHC Class 6
Extrememory 8GB SDHC class10
Kingston 8GB SDHC

16 GB
SanDisk UltraII 16GB

Hi,

Thanks for this, I'll give it a try and see what happens but first I think I'll sub-divide the songs into folders just to be sure.

Best,

Dan

Different folders for each album is really important, but waiting for 3-5 minutes after you turn it on is almost certainly your problem - my card is 16G and holds a lot of music, radio programmes and the odd talking book, so there's a lot to index.

So if I was to copy all my tunes in to several different folders, then the device would read them quicker?

Does it read a 'folder at a time' making each folder available to the device as it finishes indexing each of them?
