ZUMO 550 - not reading MP3 music files

Recently bought one of these from a member on here.

Wont recognise any MP3 tracks on my SD card, have renamed a root folder MP3 and placed the mp3's under this, just showing about 8 shitty tracks that must be in internal memory.

shows the music icon and unhighlights it when you unload the sd card as though it does partly recognise it.

format is fat32.

Any ideas?

card size is (transcend) 4GB, could that be the issue?

This is what I do

Using Windows Media player rip the music into the library (ensure you use the drop down menu to rip it in MP3 format ONLY)

Connect your SD card to the computer (I use several 2GB cards) and open Windows Media Player and find your SD card.

Drop and drag your selected tunes then sync the music from the media player direct to the SD card.

Insert the card into the Zumo

Start up the Zumo and give it a few seconds to load up, open the music player and away you go.

Been doing it like this for ages...never had a problem.

Happened to me a couple of years ago. I emailed Garmin and they sorted the problem out quickly. Try them.
