Downloading routes to a Quest?:nenau

Hi I am currently using a Garmin Street Pilot 3, great bit of kit but I need something more compact that I can use on my sports bike as well as my GS. I was considering a Garmin Quest.

Can anyone tell me if I can plan routes etc on my pc and download to a Quest as I do on my Street Pilot? Or does it all have to be done on the unit?

Advice appreciated as always:thumb

Short answer, yes.

Quicker and easier as the Quest uses a usb lead for both maps, waypoints and routes.

Check the screen size is ok for you.

IMHO the Quest is halfway between a SP3 and 2610.

:beerjug: Cheers for the fast response John

Screen isnt a big issue, I use the voice direction in the main. My mate has just purchased a 2610 and I would go for the same but no space to fit it on my 'summer bike'

Never mind summer bike you Judas!!-please do not reply to this thread as pipen is busy flogging his 12gs and has bought a ducati 999 and the nerve of him-hes trying to get me to flog mine to return to the sports bike arena-like hell!!!!!:D

The Quest is a great unit for most sports bikes, and if you mount it closer than the "above the clocks" position on a GS........... works well on that bike too :thumb

If you have a GS and a sports bike, and can't justify two GPS units........ then the Quest is the one for you :thumb
