Can someone help me please ? I want to change my (GS1150 W reg 2000)
gearbox oil but am not sure which drain hole to use as there are two !!
I have a Haynes manual but it doesn't specify which One. I also need the torque setting and what size allen key is required. Cheers

I know what you mean - the hole/bolt underneth isn't a drain plug, although it looks like it should be.

All the info is as cookie has posted .

Before someone else says it:
Pay attention to the order of the instructions - do remove the filler plug first, so you know you can get oil back in.....

Also check the level before you drain the box - so you'll know if the seal is leaking into the swingarm before any damage is done to the gearbox.

Same with the final drive .

Thank you Cookie for the diagram and thank you Steptoe for the information. I was curious which drain plug to use as I was told the bottom one is magnetic and is usually not used because the cataletic converter is in the way. Seeing as everyone appears to use the one in Cookie's diagram, thats what I will do as well. Cheers Jay.

when I do this I lean my bike against a pillar in the carport and so he it leaning on the RHS and so the oil drains out better.

just bit o help
