okaaaaay.
so bike has clunked since I got it (18K, now 25K).
Is there a procedure I can follow to check its all hunky dory (or should that be clunky dory?)...what should I be looking out for (or indeed listening).
I'm reasonably competent and have most tools conceivable..but never had a shaft drive before, so its a bit of learning curve.![]()
If you are happy to take off the wheel, remove the brake caliper and abs sensor and disconnect the torque arm and drop the F D down unclip the front transmission gaitor ( cable tie ) you can then remove the drive shaft
check the uj for wear etc and the splines for wear on pre 09 models you can try both ends on the F D splines I believe. If uj are worn etc give Mikeyboy a shout.
