Just back from a commute through dublin and had to drive through some floods and it got me wondering. What's the deepest water you can drive a 1200GSA through?

Has the 1200 got the same air inlet as the 1150? I have always wondered about the seign of the air inlet and water ingress.

Usually you can go a little deeper than the air inlet as long as you keep moving and create a little bow wave. Stop and your snookered though.

There is a river flowing down avondale lawn at pres. We had a guy in the house whose car floated off and he had to get out the car window....

Good thread on Boards about it. Here's dundrum town centre:

Reported on 11pm news that an off-duty garda was washed away by a swollen river while trying to stop traffic somewhere near Blessington.

Tragic

Tragic

Heard that one. Very sad.

Wonder if bikeworld will have a flood damage sale? :D There were bad floods around that area on the long mile road. I was heading towards the Naas road and turned back, looked too deep. A few cars were stuck in the middle of it, cars at the front weren't chancing it but couldn't do a uturn because of the island down the middle of the road!
Every road around there was a disaster, almost every road into where I live (parkwest) was flooded!

flood water gone down lot today,

few deaths sadly, we had clall out for an old woman who sadly passed away after falling into river.

laois is ok today, M7 and N7 are clear. i believe they were not clear yesterday after 4 pm.

Didnt realise dundrum got hit so bad

They found the Garda's body. Only a kid - 25. RIP
Tragic outcome for anyone - there are no real degrees of tragedy but to see a "good Samaritan" loose his life adds poignancy - RIP & may his family find some degree of comfort.
