I think it looks great, admittedly not for me as it is aimed at someone in the prime of life, not an over the hill fat tosser with flexibility issues. Looks better than the XSR900 which was aimed at a similar demographic

I like it. 873 only to be made at $19k. I think they’ll be snapped up. A nice change with the colour scheme too.
The colour scheme is the only thing I like about it, the rest is 
. The front end is hideous and spreads to an equally challenging rear end...looks designed by committee. If they want to do a proper factory special, then by not following the aesthetic of the 750SS round case green frame, they've snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. I still consider the original 750ss as one of the most beautiful motorcycles ever made...
Then there's the new updated 750 SS engine complete with ugly cat. It was never their strongest engine to begin with, so using one of their stronger (and better sounding) 937 testastretta lumps would have made more sense given that they cannot sell the original air cooled lump to meet emissions standards.

You would need to stick the fugly 937 engine behind a fairing. The air cooled Scrambler mill was the only viable option. It doesn't need masses of performance, there are other models that deliver that
I'd forgotten about the scrambler engine, that would be a good 'un to use too. The 937 I think provides a lovely blend of user friendliness without the unnecessary top end power. Lovely spread of mid range torque really suited to a bike like this but yes, the engine would still need a fairing to hide the front of it. Why they chose the 750ss other than the tenuous link by virtue of engine CC and "ss" moniker I don't understand as it wasn't a great engine to begin with. The bike deserves a better lump, especially at the cost. It's larger 900ss stablemate I rode recently and thought it was a bit of a nondescript gutless wonder.
I like that; it's got a bit of the mad max mfp about it; funnily enough i reckon it would even work in red;; idid think it was a De bolex creation at first.
The new bike IS a Scrambler with some fairly suspect bodywork bolted on

At first glance I thought it wasn’t too bad, then I saw it was described as a ‘contemporary urban cafe racer’ so it’s clearly not for me (I’m neither contemporary or urban). The final nail in it’s coffin was this photo
I didn’t really watch it as have no interest in the bike .
The bike is real even if the video is not to your liking
Something a wee bit different appeals to me. Flat bars so prob easier in town than my one.

My mistake, I was confusing it with the Desert X, which of course uses the 937 engine.
