Now 18,606 miles.

MOT to 3rd May 2026

Spares include original exhaust system (no silencers) Rizoma pillion footrest brackets, painted front mudguard, LED indicator set, rear RG axle protector, original mirrors, 2 spare screens (one RG, one Ducati), Gearbox sprocket 14T (I think) and rear sprocket 42T (I think), additional carbon cover (not quite sure what its for – might be for below fly screen).

Comprehensive history file inc. workshop manual on CD Rom, old MOTs etc.

IMHO one of the best road engines produced by Ducati – 95hp and wonderfully linear torque from around 3000 rpm in a bike weighing 168kgs.

Lack of use prompting sale – 1232 miles in 40 months – spent more time on SORN than on road.

They are lovely and that air cooled 1100 is superb. Love the dry clutch rattle and the bling of the Ohlins. Sadly just don't get out enough!

I use mine a lot in the spring summer autumn. I was out for a 45 mile blast this morning to get a loaf 😃. They feel a lot more pokey than the power output suggests. You don't need any more on the road. The EVO has wet clutch, Marzochi forks, Showa shock and slightly higher compression. They are the perfect fun bike to sit next to the sensible GS in the garage 👍

Thanks. Mines a weekend summer toy - Vespa as daily commuter, and having just got the new MOT and looked at the MOT mileage history 16,674 April 21, 17,573 August 2022, 17,792 May 24, 18,375 May 2025.......with a few SORN periods in between just means its not being used much! They are great fun and surprisingly easy at motorway speeds (and beyond....) for a 'naked'. This and the Evo last of the air cooled. Why didn't Ducati put this 1100 engine in a sports bike? I think the low weight also make them feel very responsive. You're right that we don't need any more on the road. I've had 888, 748 and 916 enjoyed all three but don't need and rarely used the top end. Lets see if anyone fancies it alongside the sensible GS.........

Cheeky bump. The igmony of dropping to page 2 after only 10 days…..
Someone might like this as the ‘funster ’ next to the sensible GS.

I need to speak to SWMBO and maybe buy some flowers and stuff…..!

Amazing value this and these last 1100 aircooled have to be future classics.

It’s a lot of fun, and I agree these air cooled 1100s are superb motors. I am always amazed at how torquey it is whenever I go for a ride, which is not often enough. Needs using - 3 kids, 2 dogs, one wife keep getting in the way!

great bikes GLWS. loved mine, Had it 12 years. sold it last year 132A026A-4967-443D-BB93-531FD0879945.jpeg
