Just messing about with the bike and it says (when the red thing is in) that I have Dyna Pro... :)

It says you can customise the acceleration, ride etc (need to look further into this) ... whats it like when used?... dark and wet here now so will have to save it for weekend :(

Just remember whatever you change with your dongle in, will stay when you start bike up next time, so if you deactivate ABS by accident, it will stay deactivated, until you realise you deactivated it, without dongle, if you deactivate ABS etc it goes back to being activated at bike startup, my dongle stays in the topcase.
 
so how do you customise the accelerator for instance?.. didnt want to play too much, but if thats correct I can mess as much as I like then pull the plug....

Yep you can mess around, pull the plug and bike will go back to normal, once bike is powered down and restarted, not sure what mode it will come back as though if you choose Dynamic pro for instance, maybe it will come back as simple dynamic, let me know how it goes, I deactivated ABS by accident oh dear it was scary.

how.. lifting the front?... sounds fun to me :)
 
I assume you have the TFT screen? On the menu you can select customised settings for Dynamic Pro. These are dynamic/road/rain for the engine, traction control and ABS. I just leave everything in Dynamic so I have the sharpest throttle response and least obtrusive ABS and traction control :thumby:

FFS read the fuckin manual. I wonder sometimes how you lot manage to actually start the bike in the first place

boring.. do you always read the manual before you do anything... bet you read all the labels in Morrisons also.... get a life!!

anyway.. its in another city!!.. :)
 
Forums are a place for those who cannot or choose not to, read a manual.
I mean, why would someone go to the trouble of actually reading and learning something for themselves, when they can just ask someone who has gone to the trouble of reading and learning something for them............... etc etc

Think you might find the OP highly capable of reading a manual, and a lot more.............;)
 
You can’t change anything other than to the Dynamic, Road, Rain or Enduro settings. What you can do is change the combination. Although why you’d want Dynamic throttle with Rain ABS I don’t know. I took mine off. Just use the standard settings.

Thanks for the very kind words Mr Smog... and as you point out, the original question was about what Dyna Pro is like... not how to use it or set it up. I have now the manual in front of me and reading it I can see that it says that for Dyna Pro, DTC can be set to Rain, Road or Dyna, and that Engine can be set to Rain, Road, Dyna, it then goes on to say that ABS can only be set in the Enduro Pro mode.. but what is not clear is if you set it in Enduro Pro, if it applies it to Dyna pro?
