Anyone know what the term "Dynamic Servicing" means, Thanks

You turn the radio up louder and rush around a bit more than usual.
It means the invoice is being generated from the diagnostic computer whilst they are doing the work on the bike.... saves them some time in taking your money off you.

I don't know, pay £14000 for a motorcycle and the Dynamic goes and fails on you.

If you have lots off crap added (none aproved BMW Motorrad )to the bike and aftermarket staff will take longer to take them off and put them back together .
But it shouldn't be more extra only £120 +vat . They even charge £20 to take your pannier on/off

£20 to take a pannier off? That must equate to £7,200 per hour on the labour cost, plus VAT of course. Where's Rasher when you need him?
It's condition based servicing.
The bikes computer takes into account mileage and how the miles were completed. Then works out when a service is due.
Same as most new cars have now.

Short city journeys in traffic will shorten the time between services.
Long journeys with a warm engine will lengthen them.
Any serious adventurers without multi vehicle back up would probably use a different bike to complete an "adventure".

Nearly correct.
Except that there is no complicated algorithim.
Just every so many litres of fuel used.

Yep ... Similar to the variable servicing on VAG cars these days, things like mileage and oil quality are taken into account and it tells you when it needs servicing.
Works well on cars because if I was on fixed servicing I would be in every 6 months with the car, at least with variable I am getting around 17k between services, oil's a bit dearer though for car's on variable.
Do I have to stop and buy the fruit, or just arrange it in an "adventurist" style, take a photograph and bugger off?

Well I only asked as a friend runs a 1200GS (hence my posting in this section) and his dealer has told him that his bike is under "Dynamic Servicing". I suppose he could have asked the Dealer for an explanation but didn't and I thought this would be the obvious place to enquire. Silly me, but thanks again to those such as Big Steve.
Then it's a good job he didn't invite you to eat an unrecognised doughnut, whilst servicing your 1200, too..... Or you'd have been asking about that as well....

Well, unfortunately I don't understand what you mean there Wapping so I'll just draw a line under this one and put it down to experience.
