been to look at it this afternoon.

5 gallon tank 60 odd mpg, loads of extras, just had a £140, genuine Honda fuel pump (instead of the wemoto £20 repair kit)

Quite looking forward to do some miles on it

Dont care if its an old mans bike - I am one !!:rob

There is something `honest` about the Deauville. A bike to do a job with not a thought about such pointless trivialities such as beauty. When you are riding it you can`t see it.:D

Had one a couple of months ago, did the job and felt solid, slow but that's what I wanted for the winter, ideal donkey.
Chopped in for NC700 as I struggled with the size, bit tight for me.

My mates got one. Rates it as a hack, last forever he reckons. Change the oil at 100,000 and watch it go round the clock again.....:D

Hi TurnipBMW,

I had one of these, mine was an 02 model. I used it for the commuting, especially in the winter. As has been said, easy 60mpg+ a range of at least 230 miles. With the big screen and foot shields you sit in a cocoon of still air, and with the Honda heated grips it was bliss even in the middle of winter. :D

Totally reliable used it for loads of miles, when I sold it on I still got back good money for it, not a fun bike but a brilliant practical workhorse. ;)

I think I have some original Honda inner pannier bags and a virtually mint standard screen somewhere tucked away in the garage, if you are interested in these PM me. :augie
