There is something `honest` about the Deauville. A bike to do a job with not a thought about such pointless trivialities such as beauty. When you are riding it you can`t see it.
Had one a couple of months ago, did the job and felt solid, slow but that's what I wanted for the winter, ideal donkey.
Chopped in for NC700 as I struggled with the size, bit tight for me.
I had one of these, mine was an 02 model. I used it for the commuting, especially in the winter. As has been said, easy 60mpg+ a range of at least 230 miles. With the big screen and foot shields you sit in a cocoon of still air, and with the Honda heated grips it was bliss even in the middle of winter.
Totally reliable used it for loads of miles, when I sold it on I still got back good money for it, not a fun bike but a brilliant practical workhorse.
