We are still using Outlook Express on Win XP as a mail client on some of our computers. We have lost messages, probably due to oversized inbox's and compacting being inadvertently terminated part way through.
1) Can some one recommend a recovery utility to re-combine the various bits of folders?
2) What are the good e-mail packages currently available? I'm using Thunderbird on my computer which has some good features but isn't without problems. We do most of our business through e-mail and need to retain old messages for around twelve months and ideally beyond that in an accessible archive directory. This leads to large inbox folders with multiple customer sub-folders in a structured directory and leads to the problems above.
