Can someone please tell me what is the easiest switched live wire to access without going near the fuse box.

I need one to connect to my relay that will then complete the circuit when the key is turned in the ignition.

Please dont tell me a wire in the fuse box as Ive had a quick look in there and I realy dont have the confidence to dabble with it.

I have fitted plenty of relays before on other bikes and usually use the tail light for a switched live to a relay but Ive heard that on the gs's it can confuse the electrics into thinking it has a tail light out.

Maybe somewhere up front.

Hope u can help

low beam on a 1150:thumb2

Not on the earlier models that have a switch for the lights.

Get a voltmeter or a small bulb on a wire. With one lead clipped to earth, prod the around terminal blocks with the ignition on and see what's got juice. when you find one, turn the ignition off and see if your source turns off too.

Try to avoid anything that might go to your ABS if you have it.

Mine come from the sidelight connector on the right of the bike not a million miles from the fuse box.

Near the 2 wire connector plug.
