Outside Lookin In

Being very careful having met nun!! of my fellow tosser's here.

I speak in defence of the foggy one; and I add, I dont know who he is, but can relate rightly or wrongly with some of his comments.

The guy was probably under pressure due to the recent fire at the briggs. Remember his telephone has been ringing constantly for weeks now, from all us tossers including myself about the slightest twitch and how much will it cost questions? So his tolerence level would be running on empty.

We all would be the same.

Could he have handled it better? of course he could, Could us as individual's and considering the time some of us spend on this site and like to hear the sound of our own comments,we know the best way to get BMW to shift their ars* Speak to them direct and send them the pictures of the issue I'm sure some of us here have their number on speed dial.

Speaking from experience, and as a Service Manager in the Motor Trade for over 15 years, the manufacturer reacts more favourable to contact from the customer than the dealer.

Yes I do know we all spend a lot of money with our dealers but if we sit back and and look at all the circumstances from both sides of the counter, sometimes and I do stress sometimes things aint all that bad.

Ps I'm picking up my new GS tommorow Sat and there better be a full tank included or there will be trouble:oonyack

Regards from RB, My glass is always half full.

Never any dirty looks when Skye climbed over their bikes as a toddler, well she still does it

If it was my shop I'd boot your @rse oot the door:D

Have to agree it may have been the day John left doubled up the workload with the Briggs fire and the rumours flying around of closure, or John Clarks buying the place can't realy bode well on a workforce. So some sympathy goes out to them. My initial post may have been due to the standard they have set in the past and came as a bit of a shock with the offishness that day thinking back everyone in the shop seemed down in the dumps.

I for one don't spend that much time on the site:rob where's the Pinocchio smilie:D

The suggestion of speaking to BMW and sending pictures was relayed to me by someone in the shop I called customer services and asked about this and they said contact the service manager in the dealer to have a look at the bike. So I've jumped off the carousel bought most of the parts and fitting them myself rather than the hassel of them falling out with me because I have dared to complain.
MC is by no means the nearest dealer to me Inverness is closest by 100miles but due to the big difference in attitudes I choose to use MC.
Got a call back from new bloke in charge and he said he'd look into it and get back to me:thumb

Quite right too :thumb

Skye also likes to help out when she visits. The day we were at Dalkieth for the 800GS launch she even started cleaning an GS ADV that was in dire need of some TLC. I had to stop her when she started spraying water up the exhaust pipe. She said she was just topping up the coolant  :angel

I tell ye if thats true it better not have been mine what did the staff say about it

Don't do this to me chaps. I have a GSA on order from MC E due for delivery in June. Will the bike be there on time? Will the dealer still be there? Do I need to book my 600 mile service now? Is this post really about the wonderful dealership I have dealt with in the past? Have they been taken over by aliens? Have I been dealing with another MC E in a parallel universe? Have I imagined this post? How do you diagnose paranoia?
