I've got one of the wunderlich style movers if you want to give it a try before buying one.

I used to use it a lot with the 1100 but since the 04 1200 are front heavy it's a bit of a pain.
I think the stand has been moved on newer ones.

I'm only over in Mosborough and I'm in Chesterfield quite a bit with work so if you want to give it a try I can drop it round.

I have the same idea but much cheaper http://www.amoirtools.co.uk/Garage Turner.html works a treat. You can get it on Ebay as well which is what I did for £40. Solid built unit and doesnt have the crazy price tag.

I did wonder how good these were considering the price, but you've just answered that, cheers

Don't forget that centre stands work on fancy pivot angles and that you will really stugle to lift your bike on to its stand if you have something too high under your stand.
The driveway mat is only an inch off the ground at the most, but even that was enough to completely alter the whole pivot point / leverage malarky, I used to struggle lifting a 1300 pan on to it.

The part that the stand goes onto is pretty low and I don't have any problems getting the bike on the stand.

Another cheapskate option (never tried myself, but seen it done) is a pair of round beer trays one inside the other with a load of grease between them. May need some extra bracing to spread teh weight - disk of plywood inside the top tray?

Hi,
I have just moved house and my drive has a bit of a slope to it, and at the moment I'm having to walk my bike (1050 Tiger) down backwards to get it into the garage so that I can ride it back up when I'm going out. The trouble is there's quite a slope on the curb to get to the drive and it's hard work pushing my bike up. I've just ordered the GS Adventure which is subsatntially heavier and think it's going to be a nightmare. Therefore I'm considering getting something like below. Has anyone tried this? If so is it any good, and easy to use? Or can someone else suggest something better?

I have heard of an old 12" vinyl music record with plywood sheet over being used as a turnaround on an old carpet!

Measured the width of my garage, it's 2.5m. According to the brochure the GSA is 2.24m long so only just going to manage to turn it around Some shelving is going to have to go I think
