oh, yeah i forgot to add that i 'toppled-off' if it with only 20 miles on the clock - surely a record for being a plonker

To my defence i'm 5'11" and in no way a wimp - but i had been 'exploring' the new bike and not clipped the front seat down properly therefore is was about 10cm higher than norm and as i rolled it off the centrestand (for the first time) once on its wheels, i was unable to touch the floor and .....Crunch !
I whipped it up in 2 seconds flat - BUT it didnt go un,issed by envious neighbours (she even mentioned it today when we bumped into each other whilst bringing in the milk in her dressing gown - cow!)
So, a new bike hits the drive.
Damage was suprisingly minimal and for such a lardy bike & isn't worth mentioning really, it didnt even bend the 'Adventure' frame that sourrounds the lower parts.
Great bike - looking forward to keeping shiny-side up from here on

For 30 odd years, I prided myself in not dropping bikes - I couldn't afford to.
However, in more recentl years.... First there was the R1200RT on loan from the dealers while I was waiting for a new GS to be delivered.

More recently, I was out for an observed ride with the IAM Staff Examiner for Scotland when I came out of a petrol station and had to stop for an oncoming car before taking advantage of the gap that the cars on my side of the road had left. I put my foot down and there was no road there. The aforementioned IAM Staff Examiner was good enough to lift the bike off me......

Yeah, I know.....poor obs.....

It's a big bugger and its gonna go
I actually followed it over in a vain attempt to avert disaster, and even put a light ding in the 'lighter' coloured tank surround trying to save my bike with my knee . . . ho hum.
I'm keeping and and it will no doubt suffer a few more over the years.

. . . but i'm still claiming the prize for 'lowest-milage-plonker-though'

I saw a lady Harley rider her drop fat boy ( bike not boy friend) today at the breatfast meet at Prees truck stop cafe. She had about 150 onlooker's, but only suffered a broken brake lever. Hope your bikes ok and no real harm done.
I guess you'll just having to live with the whole street knowing you fell off ?

At least you didn't do what a mate did who's in the same job as you. Managed to drop the bike while putting it on the centre stand. Trouble is it was next to 3 others. Think dominos

I was on a cordon, trouble was brewing between two well known biker gangs. Sun on my back, shades on (always a must - peepes can't see yer eyes are shut ..) and I was cat napping. Luuuverly ..

I came to, nom nom nom, blink blink, stood the bike up right from it's side stand and promptly hurled it and me, too far over to the right, and went sprawling ........ infront of .... hells angels, PSU serials, Chief inspectors ....

Doh ...

Think I beat you there. Picked up new RT1200 from Vines in Guildford. Rode maybe 1 mile down the rode to the traffic lights. Stopped, left foot down straight onto some liquid and loose sand on the road and over she goes. Broke my heart for a few seconds as it was the first drop in many many years and on my new pride and joy. My fault, should've checked where I was putting my foot but only takes a seconds lapse of concentration.

bought it and fell off it the same day
he realised it was too big and heavy for him so sold it me at a knock down price so good comes of bad especially for me

Threw mine on the floor 3 times off roading in Belgium at easter. Only broke a handguard bracket.
