Hi all
Just after a bit of reassurance re electrical problems from any of you who know about these things. 05 GS, 28 k. Having had the sidestand switch and the front brake switch go I am familiar with the "ghosting" that can occur ie one fault causes a number of strange things to happen:nenau.
The latest thing is that, with the ignition off but key in, when I turn the bars to the left the instrument details (time mileage etc) come on, but not the ignition circuit. Have checked there is no corresponding response when turning to the right. This has been the case for some weeks without any other effect, however........
I now have no high beam, and the "blown bulb" symbol is up full-time. Have checked the bulbs by changing over H to L etc. Switching to high beam does result in the blue tell-tale illuminating.
Having poked around at the wires below the ignition area, where the left handlebar wires join the main loom, I can get the instruments to come on as above without the need to turn the handlebars.
So finally to the question: do I strip down the loom at the point where it all comes together, or is this just "ghosting" and should I be checking the tail light??:whatthefe:whatthefe
Many thanks in anticipation
