Electrical Problems?

Fired up my bike this morning to go to work and the charge light stayed on, rode it to my local shop about half a mile switch off. Come out of the shop after getting my local rag fire up the bike and the charge light goes out as normal, ive also been suspect of the fuel gauge no operating properly recently anyone got any idaes as waht this may be could the two things be connected in anyway?

Worth having a look at your alternator belt in case its loose, other than that general loose or dirty connections, we probably need more info to home in on the fault

Aye Stewart, the belt should be tight as up till Saturday it was skirling a bit on start up and i nipped it up on Sat morning its been out for a run on Sunday and ran back and fore to work as normal on Monday. But charge lightfirst showed this morning, will go out and check belt again shortly.
