sorry for asking what might be the bleeding obvious to some but i cant find any previous threads about this:
am i right in thinking the 720W alternator of the 2006 r1200gsa should pump out about 50A at cruising revs? if so, how many of these precious amps are used just to run the bike (assuming HID conversion, dipped headlights, and fog lights on)? im trying to work out out if there is enough left over to power a freezer (about 20A max draw, to be on the safe side-actually much lower than this) bolted to the rack so i can enjoy the odd magnum and callipo whilst touring spain and north africa...would be nice to know if there's any left over for xbox and satellite tv too;-D
if there isnt enough left over, can anyone recommend an uprated after-market alternator which wont require me to mod the hell out of the bike to get it to fit in?!! cheers ryan
