I have set up two sets of Auxilliary Lights on my 09 1200GS SE as described in posts on this site. Currently the 'Riding Lamps' linked to the dipped beam stay on when I switch to main beam. I want to set it up so they switch off automatically when I go to main. This was the set up I had on my 1150. Does anyone know where I can get a relay that remains live 'on' until switched (by a feed from the main beam).
Also does anyone know where I can source the white cable connector used by the Optimate battery tender?

Why do you want to switch lights off when you go to main beam? Surely the idea of main beam is to chuck as much light up the road as you can.

You can get the Optimate connectors from Maplins.

I run FF50's with the main and get sufficient light from that source and I just prefer to run with the configuration I had on the 1150. I tried Maplins for the connectors but could not find them on thier ebsite. Do you know for sure that they have them?

Flexible Conduit

Not sure this is the right thread, but here goes.
I am in the process of wiring up Motech running lights on a MigSel bracket for my 09 1200GS, and I wanted to find some black flexible conduit (or trunking) to hide and protect the lights cables in. I tried Maplin from the post above but they only do 11.5mm internal bore which is a bit fat. The size of conduit running to the engine looks ideal. Anyone know where you can get 8 mm or similar, and at less than BMW prices, about a metre should do the trick. Cheers, Paul

Just use a Single Pole, Double Throw (SPDT) relay.

Although, as Greg says, why bother?

I wandered round my local car breakers and picked up plenty of the stuff in a range of sizes, they didnt even want any money for it :thumb2

Flexible Conduit

Rob and Stewart thank you very much. I'll follow up both your suggestions. This is what I like about this group, always someone out there that knows much more than I do. Cheers, Paul
