Hi guys, does anyone know if it's normal for the 660 to power down when you try to use the elevation graph whilst in 'Current Trip Log'?
I'm new to this unit so maybe I'm doing something wrong, but every time I press the elevation function the same thing happens and I have to restart via the power button!
I'd be grateful for your input.

Fred.

What version of software are you running?

I have noticed that, since updating the software to the latest edition, some of the tasks that I ask the device to perform either now take several minutes or cause the device to hang. Elevation may just be another, but I have never looked.

Contact Garmin is the best advice.

Yep, same here, try to view trip log stats and the unit powers down every time :( So for now, i won't be looking at trip log stats

Roll on 3.9+ :augie

Short trip log segments show the elevation graph without a problem on mine. Longer ones, > 50 miles produce a random graph while even longer, > 90 miles cause the unit to power down.

An earlier firmware version did this, then they fixed it, now it's back again with 3.8. I emailed them the first time round. Guess they'll fix it with next update.
