Hi everyone, I want to possibly save your lives by giving you some good advice. Sorry for going on about this, but you are important to me, even if I hardly know any of you.
I was hit by a taxi on the M4, got up and ran to the hard shoulder where the taxi had stopped, as I could see the other cars approaching, and they hit the bike (KTM) and wrecked it. Am glad to be alive, so cant complain. I only managed to get up
because of my knee pads. One cracked, but both knees were OK, so I could get up and run.
I should have died twice that evening, so I feel sort of reborn.
So, am currently going through "second chance", "new mission in life" and various religious moments. Thought about getting a car instead, but have ditched that idea, as car drivers are even worse to one another. There I am, doing the various speed limits in the hire car provided by the insurance, and they are tail gateing at 30, 40, 50, flashing headlights. At least when I am on a bike the speedlemmings can manouvre around me.
So, take care, get knee pads, please. Best are the ones which fold over the entire knee and above and the shin. My ones rotated around the knee had tree velcro straps, two below the knee and one above.
Take care.
