engine bolts , am i missing something?

when i dismantled the bike 12 months ago i was sure i could remember where everything went............ guess what?

ive just sat the engine into the frame and slid the two bolts through, however there seems to be a 1cm sized gap between the engine and frame on each side of the rear bolt and slightly smaller gap at each side of the front bolt.

does the frame 'squash' to the engine when tightened? or have i lost some spacers or something more important?? haynes manual has no pictures and the real oem only shows the bolt on the engine page and nothing on the frame page.

sorry to mither, with all my 'back up' photos of dismantled bits i must not have taken one of the engine bolts

There are four spacers needed to take up the slack. One of them is slightly longer than the others.

On mine (86 RT Mono), there are only 3 spacers. The fourth is built in to the side stand bracket...

...unless ive lost one!
