Ergonomics?

First real ride on the new 1300GS and I'm finding a few challenges to work through, ergonomically speaking.

For reference, I'm 6'1". 34" inside leg, 68kg.

Firstly, it's a bit of a stretch to reach the bars. I did consider up and back risers, but they would interfere with the tank bag. I think part of the problem is that I'm sat too far back on the seat, due, in part, to the tight knee angle.

So I try sitting further forward.

The seat slopes forward, so you kind of end up in the bottom of the scoop with more of your weight between your legs than on your backside. And lower, too. Meaning a tighter knee angle.

well the comfort seat high is the most uncomfortable bike seat I have ever sat on - so BMW meeting their usual stds

I flipped the front seat lever to the other way (I think pointing backwards), and its much worse - forcing you to slide forwards a lot and the comfort is if anything worse - I expected it to improve so maybe the issue is that it needs to be the other way around

I found this which has 6 bits in the kit to correctly push the seat up at the front by 10mm - with 5mm longer bungs to take up the slop at the front, a midway set that are in between the std ones and the longer front ones, leaving the rear running 2 of the std 6 the seat came with - seat fitted back on easily, and the seat seems to align better with the Tank - not ridden it yet (can't be worse)

Wunderlicht do a similar kit. Got mine from NN. Does make a difference, but not enough difference for me, so got a Wunderlicht active comfort seat and that does the job.

I fitted the Wunderlich kit, and luckily for me, the levelling and slightly increased seat height did the trick. I've done 5,000 miles in 2 and a bit months and the comfort is now on a par with my previous R1250GS.
