Guys - should the front preload adjustment only operate on the off-road setting ?

If you read down to the Enduro ESA part here, it explains the settings quite well.

Seems you have to pay to see that far down the document

To answer OP question. Front preload will only operate in high mountain setting. Give it a minute or so to work as it's not as quick to work as rear preload. You should see it rise up. Logic says it's worth activating every now and then so it doesn't lock in position

Thanks spm - yes that's what happens on my bike so it appears to be working correctly.

As you say, well worth exercising it regularly 'cause it won't get much use & will seize.

I like using my bike on the high mountains setting. The handling isn't badly affected and on back roads can actually improve with the wheels better following the road surface. Sadly my short legs prevent me doing it in town. It's such a shame the ESA is so slow to change ride height.
