ESA Rear shock

r1200 gs rear ESA rear shock is leaking, does anyone know if these can be rebuilt and if so where

Yep, a number of places will do this. MCT suspension will rebuild for about £170 and you will end up with better quality internals (or so they say) in the process. Have had good reviews from a number of people on this forum although not used them myself.

I had a leak in my 4 weeks ago and sent the unit down to MCT, turned it around in 5 days, new oil, shaft polished and seal. They checked the bushes for wear and it was £145 inc vat and postage back to me!

Alternative is a replacement shock but at much higher cost. Wilbers, Etc.

Had mine done recently by TW Suspension in Preston, £120 may be more now as it was the first ESA shock he had done but said it was as easy as any other shock.

Mines at firefox as we speak £189.00 as to 1,450 for bmw to replace no brainer!
