ESA unit moves about a bit

Just checked mine, does exactly the same. Probably a reason for it.

Yes they all do that sir,at least my two did

Just checked mine, does exactly the same. Probably a reason for it.

I've found that with mine, but I checked it the other day and it was solid.

Thanks for the replies folks! Nearly fell out of my skin earlier when I found the unit to be moving about along with the whole shock assy. Good to know it's 'by design' as they say.

Its mounted on a Rose type joint, can occasionally knock - nothing to worry about, goes with all the other clattering & bangng going on on the LC

the rear rubber mount sits on a conical mushroom type post. if you push the rubber mount down where it sits on the mushroom, the edges will catch in the ridge and hold it securely in place. I am not quite sure if this is how it is designed to work or not, but if appears to hold it firmly.

OOOPS I miss read the thread as ECU unit moves about !!!! Oh well it may help someone with an ECU (Under the seat) that is a bit loose
