etrex legend/vista -base maps

Hi,
i'm looking to buy a etrex legend /vista.
local shops sell units with european base map,
ebay generally sell units with north/south america base map
question?
can you download /swop the base maps after a trip?

But you can download maps from R&R and Metroguide or Mapsource, cos the Vista has 24m of internal memory.

Got one and it works perfect when loaded with maps from my mapsource.

I'm with Gazza. The base maps are next to useless anyway so I've always loaded up the unit with R&R maps.

I'm thinking of selling mine. Make me an offer. It's a brand new Vista. Brand new because it was recently replaced by Garmin after the screen went wrong on my original one. I've now got an SP3.
