Not sure where to put this but though the 1200 section would be a good start....!

Anyone ever thought of painting their tyres with a 'rubber solution' when they get worn?

You're off on that long European jaunt and you're not sure if you'll make it home....So what's the 'solution'?

Easy!.....Take a tin of my 'Everlasting Tyre Rubber Solution' and simply paint it on your worn tyres once or twice a day for that extra 'mm' of tread and your bike is good to keep going.

Keep painting the stuff on and your tyres will last forever...........!

Any comments or suggestions welcome.

I fill my tyres with Helium. They're then like balloons, so you don't have as much pressure on the roads. Therefore lower tyre wear:thumb2

On the downside a lack of contact with the road can have it's drawbacks:blast

If you use FPs idea of rubber solution and go one step further and use rubber contact adhesive which the authorities could paint on the roads as well then there wouldn't be a grip problem as your tyres would stick to the roads. :)

That would involve a high degree of cooperation from Tesco...............

My JCB Telehandlers broken down with 10.5 hours on the clock.....Waiting for 'another one' to be delivered.........If I had a cat i'd probably kick it:blast

What's up..........................sprang a Canbus oil leak, has it:aidan

Or you could use snow chains all year round:blast That way the rubber never gets in contact with the tarmac:thumb2

Does this help prevent tyres from squaring off? :augie

It does if you only paint the middle bit of the tyre tread!:thumb

I originally thought of this idea years ago when I was slowly wearing the 'middle' of my tread on the way back from the Nordkapp in 2003

My inspiration came from geese's feet and it seems strange that no-one else has ever thought of this before:nenau

don't forget to use masking tape for the thread groves.......if you don't your tyre will become a slick :Motomartin

Weave it

What you need to do is weave EVERYWHERE when you first get ur new tyres, and then by the time they get near the end of their life...ie...REALLY rounded off...then you can stop weaving & safely start to use the extra mm or 2 around the center of the tread that you saved earlier:clap

When I square my tyres off from too much motorway use, could i use your rubber solution as a filler :)
