Hi All
I'm new to the site but and would be grateful for some advice.
On reading some threads concerning the early MK1's there appears to be issues with the EWS system and the right hand cylinder head dropping a valve.
I understand there is a way to bypass / get you home trick for the EWS system, only I cant find it using the search bar.
What are the causes for the right hand cylinder head dropping a valve ? timing chain tensioner ?
I have a 2004 GS with 47k on the clock maintained by myself , the only problems I have had are the throttle potentiometer dying and a leaking seal between engine and gearbox.
Any help or advice would be appreciated
Regards
Jon
