I currently have a 2011 TC 1200gs and have the exhaust flat deleted.

My question is would a can from an 04-09 SC fit my headers meaning I can remove the delete section.?

My understand is yes. Cans from pre flappy bikes will fit - they have a longer connection pipe meaning the delete section can be binned

Not sure that's the case. I replaced the headers with 04-09 decat ones so I could use the earlier type can. The flap has a larger diameter than the earlier type link pipe.

So if you want to fit 04-09 to a later bike you need early headers too
