Exhaust joints.

I have noticed my exhaust is blowing a bit, where the joints are clamped up. I have tried moving them about and as my MOT is due soon is there a packing wrap I could use to seal the joints please? All I get when I ask google is hipster exhaust wrap bandages because I don't know what to ask it.

If it’s only slight I’d say an exhaust jointing paste would suffice such as Holts fire gum.

may be worthwhile downloading a catalogue and having a peruse

A strip of Ali cut from a coke can is a perfect exhaust gasket.

^^^^ What he said. Cheap Silicon RTV, without any sort of additives, works well. Less messy than exhaust paste, seals well and can be easily removed if necessary.
