I thought this would be better in Airheads than FS&W...

Please, does anyone have a spare exhaust clamp spanner (the one that grips the cooling fins of the exhaust pipe to cylinder head nut, like the image below) lying around surplus to requirements?

Cash waiting.

Cheers,

Paul G

Paul,

I feel a plan coming along! :thumb

Maverick, thanks for the thought, shame yours are gone!

Chris, yes I am sure someone would lend me one... thing is, with an airhead, you'd be brave to believe that you're never going to need it again so it's the kind of thing I'd like to have in the garage.... if not permanently under the bike seat!

Flying banana, I have responded to your PM, and thank you we have a deal!

Cheers everyone :beerjug:

I have one that you are welcome to borrow and am in Surrey. PM me if you'd like it and I'll give you my address. They are worth having. I tend to whip my collars off everytime I service it. I clean the threads and copperslip them. They have a nasty habit of seizing up if not done occasionally.

Thanks Melch -

That's a very kind offer - in fact I have just signed the adoption papers for Flying Banana's spanner so I should be sorted.

Thanks for the advice too. :thumb

Oi! I resemble that remark!!:D:D

What do they say, "you can take the man out of Yorkshire..."

Anyway, I've just added to FB's beer fund, and ended up with a valued tool that I needed - not to mention providing the tool itself with a restored sense of self-worth...

It's a win win win.
