Yet another PITA job taht is taking far longer than expected.
Need to stop a blow on exhaust at head so taking all off to re-align and replace rose nuts at same time, problem is, I can't get the ****ing balance box off the headers - and therefore the nuts can't be changed.
Sprayed with penetrating oil, clamps all off, length of wood and smacking with plastic mallet etc etc and no shifting...getting ****ing annoyed. Heat may be tricky and would likely heat up both parts of pipe the same losing advantage (and proably setting fire to bike in process.)
Any advice welcome.
I'll try the cold stray Kenny too before you say
And why put a bash plate on the PD that means you can't get to the clamp on balance pipe between headers??? This can be aligned to offer hex key through holes in front...but mine isn't grrrrrr one to watch for on re-assembly
Argh
