Hello all,
First off: Sorry - I don't have a digital camera
OK, I've an irritating problem with my 1150 that I hope you may be able to help with. I've got the BWM pannier frames fitted (adventure metal panniers).
The exhaust silencer on the bike (standard issue) touches the exhaust guard.
(When I say exhaust guard I mean the loop of metal that is part of the left pannier frame that looks like a square 'n')
This causes a rattle that I'd like to stop, so I got my spanners out and undid the can clamp from the cat, and turned the silencer anti-clockwise away from the pannier frame. Lovely. Worked a treat, but one ride will see the exhaust can right back up against the guard again.
I've tried adding spacers to the exhaust mount, which didn't work either, and I guess I could bend the exhaust guard away from the silencer but I'd rather not.
Any wise bits of cleverness that can solve this?
Many thanks in advance,
Matt
