Gents & Madames,
when i switched my ignition on recently, I have a query regarding the "flappy " , exhaust valve. The stepper motor on mine was making a clicking noise , and did not seem to move much. I stripped the unit off the exhaust , cleaned it up. Then washed out with WD40. I then switched the bike on a few times , and the cables seemed to move forward and back freely enough. But when i refitted the Valve , it only moved slightly ,
I would be most grateful if anyone out there can a advise :
1. when the ignition is switched on and off , Should the flap be moved by the stepper motor one complete cycle of open and close.
2. Does the flappy valve close under the pressure of the spring fitted to the mechanism ? when opened by hand.
3. i can open mine by hand , and i had to close it by hand , as it moves freely but stiff seems stiff in operation . Should it be more freely , easy to move ?
4. Anymore recomend some lubricants like graphite grease to to maintain the unit.
I will attached some pictures below to show the condition of part, when i suss out how to do it...
regards and thanks in advance
