I've got a 2016 R1200GS that I've removed the standard exhaust and replaced with a full Akra system.
I removed the cables from the servo but left it in situ and still wired in order to avoid fault codes.
This has been without problems for 9 months until a couple of days ago.
Now when I turn on the ignition the motor keep operating until the engine is started.
When the ignition is switched off the motor continues "hunting " until the canbus cuts the power.
I had the same setup on my last bike R1200GS TC for a couple of years with no faults.
As the motor is under no load why should I'd develop a fault??
Any ideas??:beerjug:

There is a silent error code when the servo motor is left without the cables. Sounds like the servo has failed regardless of cables or not. Should be able to pick up a used one fairly easily, else just buy a "Servo Buddy" box and remove the servo altogether.
