Extended Warranty!

Got a few days left to pay BMW £659 for another year's of warranty and breakdown cover.

Not sure if it is worth the money?

I have seen a lot of guys here that have taken their bike to their dealer just before the warranty ran out to get everything replaced. I have not been so organised

How many people had major issues with their bike in the third year? Worth it for the peace of mind?

Also my dealer closed down (SPC) ... so not sure if I can get any good service from anyone or someone willing to go over the bike for warranty claims.

Any suggestions?

What does that price tag say about the manufactureres confidence in their products reliability, not a great vote of confidence I think? Doesn't say much about the punters confidence either I guess. So has BMW marque just become a fashion fad withut the substance to back it up? hmmmmm.

I agree! I bought it because it went well with the boots and jacket that I bought

I got mine about 2 months ago but I'm takin a chance without it. Makes £2700 to go to a new bike look cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Might be worth trying Warranty Direct (www.warrantydirect.co.uk). Know nothing about them but the BMW Club have just done a members' offer with them.
