F 800GS oil filter

Hi guys,
Just wondering which oil filter you use for the 800GS, at the 600 ml service the dealer fitt a 11427721779 filter I checked the number and found it was for a K1300, I rung the service department and they told me it had been fit in error and to bring the bike back and they would fit the correct one, the one they fit does not appear to be a genuine BMW filter it has a faint number printed on it 304051113011 and as a hexagon type head not the 12 point type. I have read somewhere that the correct filter is either a 11427719357 or a 11427673541

Looks as though it should be 11427719357

there is debate everywhere about this. I suggest that you ask the parts guy to show you his computer schematic screen when looking u the part. Write down the number (and let us know). I just put on a K&N/Highflow-164.

Note that they changed from a bigger to smaller filter at one point, that is the reason for the confusion.

oil filter part no.

Just dropped the oil and filter on my 08 GS800.
I scourced the the new filter and washer from BVM moto in Stroud who are an ex bmw main dealer and have always given me good advice with dirtbikes etc...

They supplied a 11427719357 Filter which was identical to the one I removed.
I checked on my previous service reciept from Riders Cardiff and that was the part number of the one they fitted on the previous service.

I have seen another thread on here or ADV Rider regarding a filter with a spring fitted inside.The 9357 filter above does not appear to have a spring fitted.

Just bought a new filter from my BMW dealer an also got 11427719357.
