Hi All, following some very valuable help from the F800 guys I`ve developed a sump guard for the new F800 Adventure. Its very well made, certainly much more substantial then the first prototype and now is ready for sale.

I`ve tried to incorporate as many suggestions as I could to make it as good as possible.

The photo is of it on my new F800 (which is turning out to be a lovely bike btw :clap)

Its top quality hand made gear (or I hope so - I tend not to cut any corners whatsoever) but I`ve tried to keep it competitive with the best mass produced stuff available.

Please note that I only make to order - each item is made specifically for the individual and I`m off to Germany on Sunday on my bike (wooohooo :bounce1)

So, by all means follow the link if anyone is interested but please expect a lead time of a few weeks to get them made!

Where are you finding the time to ride these bikes you are collecting?
So which one do you find the best and what one are you going to Germany on ?

Yo Stevie Geezer how ya doing? Speak to Benhur - he will underline how mad my life is and god knows how I get time. I`m nearly ashamed to say that the new F800 has been in my possession for over three bloody weeks and I`ve just got 325 miles on it. Embarrassing!

Anyway, being lucky enough to run three fantastic bikes (yet unlucky enough not to get the time to ride them) here is my brief appraisal:

F800 = the new up and coming long distance tourer with significant offroad ability when compared to the `daddies` (the 12`s......). In my mind a lot of us could move onto the F800 and lose just a small percentage of capability. Any negatives? Too high for most mortals.

R1200LC = mad bike, been riding since I was a kid and it far surpasses my riding abilities. very fast, handles like no other bike I`ve ridden and stops soooooo quickly.

R1200GSA = still `THE` long distance tourer in my mind with the F8 snapping at its heels.

I`m new to the F8 but I must say that its pretty damn awesome :bow

best bike? All of them :D

Taking to the Nurburgring? The LC................... (coz its mental :roll)
