There is a standard top box plate on the T. Other than the BMW box, do any other boxes fit this plate? Is this plate just a base to fit other aftermarket plates?

Same goes for the side brackets.

Are these brackets just replaced if using aftermarket boxes and panniers?

Even the BMW box has a fitting plate that fixes to the plate that comes on the bike. Any other type eg GIVI would require some adaptor

Yeh, I've just seen how it all works. Basically, I think the plate on the bike is useless.
