Apologies if in wrong section but I can't find a section for this bike.Anyway......a colleague is selling his F800ST

It's a 2008 model with 21k miles and has

Service History
On Board Computer
Heated Grips
ABS
Centre Stand
Alarm
BMW Expandable “Sport” Panniers
BMW Top Box

Very good condition.

What do you think would be a fair price to pay ?

Had one as a loner some years ago.

Check the condition of the drive belt and pulleys, they're unique to BMW and so priced on the basis it's made from unobtainium and probably the main reason that I didn't buy one.

In my opinion the alarm is a liability, the expanding BM luggage is crap and a top box is a grotesque concept but sometimes useful. The rest is all good.

Private sale I'd guess around £3K to £3½K, perhaps a bit more if it's really good.

It's over priced as he wants 4k at the moment!!

Indeed the 24k service is coming up and IIRC that's belt replacement and it runs to 4 figures (service included) - something crazy

Very under rated bike, it's got all the extras you would pay for. Check cost of belt replacement. Cracking engine, good for loads of miles.

A mate of mine recently enquired how much the 24k service would cost from a BMW dealer, he was quoted -n eye watering£1,360.Belts and pulleys are a great idea... Until they need replacing
