Factory start ....

the Superduke 1390 evo has something called factory start to compliment the launch control

When engaged it squats down a the rear like a Moto GP bike and it is quite a strange feeling as it hunkers down quite a long way

Any way I gave it a go last night with the Launch control

It isnt an experience I am keen on repeating if truth be told

launch control and factory start engaged the rear of the bike squats down - wing the revs on to full throttle which takes it to just over 6K on the launch control algorithm let the clutch out quickly but smoothly and then hold tight - very fucking tight, change up on the limiter with the quick shifter whilst shitting ones trousers and giggling and muttering fuck me, fuck me, fuck me !

I have the wheelie control set to low as opposed to very low because I am a pussy but not a complete scaredy cat but no where near brave enough to go for medium high or very high, and I reckon at about 130mph it finally put the front wheel firmly down

Sounds like the 'launch control' and 'factory start' buttons should be combined into one button.... labelled 'Grin Boost'

they sort of are as you can leave factory start permanently on so once launch control is engaged it does both and of course one can set it to the quick trigger thing so you can look cool/twat (delete as appropriate ) at the traffic lights

when I first moved to Cadeby the mile was dead flat and dead straight now it isnt either of those things so speed testing has become a little more lairey

Of course Marr Drag was the other great speed test road around these parts but sadly that has 50MPH average speed cameras on it now
