Failed radiator fan

After 17.000km enduro riding my radiator fan failed.
Stucked bearings and burned brushes.
FAN producent is SPAL - model VA69A-A101-87A.

A101 motor is announced as IP68 waterproof:

Hmmm Maybe I should take mine out and check it

It is sealed with silicone, so if its working please do not disassemble it. I made that out just to find out what was the reason for failure. IMHO it is just worth to check if its operating, and if blades are moving smoothly.

Mine failed too, fortunately mine was still under warranty at the time.

I have two trains of thought here....
Bikes used in cool atmospheres with no fan duty required, and when the engines heat the fan then has seized.
bikes where the duty of the fan is excessive, therefore the fans failures due to over heating or end of service life.

I am in the process of finding a UK manufacturer of a full width radiator, as the second of the two possibles listed above I am heading for.....
