Farkle development including the front crud

Final alternative design

Hopefully will post the alternative design tmoz - the favourite one is a sod to make so I`ll post the alternative (similar to one of the first) and see if anyone can help me make up my mind!

just gotta mirror the flange opening...........

So, dead happy with final design (although a pig to make) all I have to do is change it so that the flnages open on the opposite side :blast

HI, MARK ,got my lc today and when got home from shipley front all covered in crud , so fitted your touring plate tonight ,so this looks good and should keep the case clean, does not look like there is room to fit fender extender due to the closeness of the gaurd , any news on the rad gaurd, cheers george

Ayup mark, Can I ask the area in the centre of the rad covers where the design leaves a area unprotected would it be big enough to let a stone impact the rad !

naaaah - stop being a faggot :bounce1

9should have asked me when i was sober)

Morning ding dong and I hope my light hearted drunken flippancy was taken in the jovial tone it was meant!

Anyway, with a clear head, you have a valid point of course. It has occurred to me but I have been very conscious of restricting airflow and to assuage this concern I've designed the protector with 'flaps' which fold out away from the radiator itself thereby moving the material away from the area which needs cooling whilst still offering protection. With the material which I couldn't 'move away' from the cooling surface I have put as many holes in it as possible. Hence the 'gap'

So, the protector is a balance between offering some protection against airborne stuff and cooling efficiency which, I think, I have got about right.

Most radiator protectors are flat against the radiators themselves, I think this is a disadvantage but its done for cheapness I am sure and these tend to unnecessarily restrict airflow.

Hope this answers your question mate!

i`ve also got to find the time to set it all up on the ecommerce site, hoping to do that tomorrow pal.

Hope this helps............
