Evening,
I have a strange request, but the background is simply that I'm almost set on pulling the trigger on buying a 2005 R1200GS, but I'm concerned I won't be able to fit into the parking space I have for it in London.
I have a Honda VFR currently that fits with a bit of manouvering on the side stand, but I need to be able to see if I can back the GS in and get it turned enough to fit through the gate.
Could someone with easy access to a tape measure oblige me extremely with a measurement? Namely the distance between the rear of the left hand cylinder head and the front edge of the tyre when on full left lock. I'm hoping the cylinder head wont catch on the gate post as I attempt to manouver it in.

Many thanks indeed.
